Just over 1 mile from the beaches at Shaldon and Maidencombe, the property is spacious and has been furnished and decorated to a very good standard. There is a sunny courtyard area, with table and chairs perfect for al fresco dining. The local pub, dating back to the 17th century, is a 2-minute walk from the cottage and serves good food and real ales.
There are many walks from the cottage including the South West Coastal Path and along the Teign Estuary, a great place for bird watching and nature lovers. Nearby Shaldon – situated at the mouth of the Teign Estuary on the edge of the English Riviera and Torbay – is an idyllic little fishing village with quaint cottages and narrow winding streets. Visit the award winning Ness beach by walking through the ’Smugglers Tunnel’, or stroll around the village and visit Shaldon Zoo and Homeyards Botanical Gardens.
